Our clients wanted a light, modern kitchen that was achievable on their budget. The family of 6 wanted the new space to accommodate their large family while adding an eye-catching feature as you walk in the front doors. To give the owners their dream scullery, 2 walls were added as well as a double cavity slider making the scullery feel roomier and easy to work in. Custom made skirtings to match the homes existing traditional skirtings means the new walls fit seamlessly into the original space. By keeping the services in the same locations we were able to save on additional costs that could have restricted these wish list ideas.

Open shelving made to suit the owners small appliances and microwave allow a clean bench space in the main kitchen. An accent shelving runs through the entirety of the scullery for display storage with accent LED lighting to add a feature. As the homeowners were keeping the existing timber flooring this was the inspiration for the timber look dining table that was matched to work well together. The light oak adds warmth and a natural texture while pulling tones from the calacatta gold Benchtops.

The cantilevered dining room table becomes a focal point when you enter the room. Adding this eye-catching feature amalgamates the kitchen joinery to a piece of furniture that elongates the room and has plenty of space to fit the whole family comfortably. The dining top has a relaxed feel as the family do want the formality of a family dinner time while linking the kitchen zone to the open plan living space.
